Kick-Off to Christmas. The town of Edenton and Chowan County are kicking off Christmas with a Winter Express experience on a historic trolley, food trucks, and children’s activities ranging from inflatables, story time, face painting, crafts, and a dazzling light display from the Flotilla Boat Parade.
Penelope Barker House. The Christmas Candlelight Tour is one of Edenton’s most popular attractions. For the past 41 years, the tour has selected a section of historic downtown Edenton homes to showcase in their holiday splendor. Visitors are welcome inside the various stops to marvel at the decorations that capture early Edenton Christmases, reminiscent of the 18th and 19th Centuries. For a truly authentic experience, take a horse-drawn carriage ride through the town and admire the twinkling lights.
WinterLights at the Elizabethan Gardens. Just an hour and a half drive to Manteo you’ll find a holiday tradition you’ll be glad you didn’t miss! Stroll along illuminated garden walks, listen to the crackle of an open-air fire, and discover the joys of the season with holiday lights that transform the ten-acre gardens into an enchanted wonderland.
