One of the unique challenges of designing the golf course for Albemarle Plantation was that it wasn’t just a golf course. It had to blend with the community that was an integral part of the experience. The course expertly blends natural landscaping and the expansive views of Albemarle Sound with the lush environment of coastal North Carolina. All the while seamlessly incorporating the rest of the community, pro-shops, entertainment venues, housing and restaurants.

Albemarle Plantation is home to a wide variety of people, incomes, backgrounds and interests. This vibrant golf course community is a way to bring everyone together and create strong bonds, forged in competition and solidified in camaraderie. After a round of golf, it’s not unusual to see the winners being treated to a few relaxing drinks at the Clubhouse Grill or taking hints on how to improve their game at the Pro Shop.
