On behalf of the Landquest team and the investors, I want to thank all of the residents of the Plantation for the warm welcome that has been extended.
Our team has been focused on addressing immediate resident concerns and a wide range of operational issues that come with a project such as this. In just one week, we have already implemented some tangible changes such as improved security at the construction entrance, removal of the stored items from the Garden Center building, painting of buildings, and repair of several decking problems at the marina. I would encourage you to watch for “Plantation Progress” signs for an indication that work is going on at that location.
We have had several meetings with the HOA Board to ensure that we are focusing our efforts in the right direction. Our immediate tasks will include starting the process of transferring trash removal responsibilities to an outside contractor, meeting with local real estate agents to ensure the there is a vibrant program for resales on the Plantation and appointing resident members to the POA Board. Also, the POA dues for the second half of 2009 have been reduced. This is reflected in the statement that was recently sent out.
We are considering a range of concepts and ideas for improving and adding onto the major facilities. Part of our planning process will include getting input from you, the residents.
We are all truly excited about the great things to come at Albemarle Plantation. In the meantime, should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call me at (252) 312-0090.

When we purchased our property we were told there would be a town square including a bank, medical offices, fast food as well as 2 churches across the street from the sales office. Do you see this in your development plans or were we misled? The community is a bit secluded.

Christine, we will eventually have these facilities on property, but as you know, there are already several banks, churches, excellent restaurants and quaint places to shop between Edenton, Hertford and Elizabeth City. All are within a short drive from the gates of Albemarle Plantation.
There are still plans for a town square, however, we don’t have a specific timeframe for when construction will start. We’ll keep you posted.

The infrastructure for the Belmont neighboorhood has been complete for sometime now. Sellout of the last of the inventory is underway.
The exciting news is the Belmont entrance monumentation was completed this past Fall. Brick columns, tree-lined streets and white fencing are all in place. It is quite beautiful.
