The Albemarle Plantation Property Owners Association is pleased to announce that it has entered into a contract with Waste Industries to take over the trash collection service for the Plantation.  This was only possible as a result of the hard work by members of the HOA who thoroughly investigated the options for the Plantation.  This change will result in significant savings for the POA. 

The new service will include traditional trash pick up, yard waste pick up and (new for the Plantation) recycling.  With this change in service providers comes some other changes too. The pick days for trash are changing as follows: 

Trash and recycling will now be picked up on MONDAYS

 Yard waste will be picked up on FRIDAYS

 The start date for trash pick up by Waste Industries is Monday, September 7 (yes, they will pick up on Labor Day).

 Recycling pick up will start one week later on Monday, September 14.  Recycling bins will be delivered to each home the week of September 7th.

 Yard waste pick up will start on Friday, September 4.

 There will be a trash pick up on September 1 by the current provider so that there will not be a long gap in service.
